William Jenkins, Ph.D.

Welcome! I am a researcher in underwater acoustics and oceanography and am the Principal Acoustic Scientist at Andrenam, Inc. I also conduct research at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California San Diego with the Applied Propagation Physics Group. My work is focused on incorporating techniques from machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) into ocean acoustics signal processing. This work is motivated by the tremendous amount of data that are collected from ocean observing systems, and I aim to improve our ability to process and analyze these data to gain new insights into the dynamics of the ocean.
