William Jenkins, Ph.D.
Welcome! I am a postdoctoral researcher at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California San Diego. I completed my Ph.D. in 2023 with Dr. Peter Gerstoft’s Noiselab and am currently working with Dr. Y.T. Lin. My work is focused on incorporating techniques from machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) into ocean acoustics signal processing. This work is motivated by the tremendous amount of data that are collected from ocean observing systems, and I aim to improve our ability to process these data to ultimately gain new insights into how the ocean works.
